Trekking to the Big Buddha

The trekking trail is not too long, approximately 1.7 km from the beginning to the Big Buddha statue. There are several challenging sections with steep ascents, where ropes are provided.

It’s better to go trekking early in the morning or after 4:00 PM when it’s not too hot.

Part of the route goes through the jungle. If you see monkeys, do not approach closely, as their bites and scratches can be dangerous for humans.

Be sure to wear sneakers and bring water. A head covering would also be a good idea.
